Scalp and Shoulder Massage in Kuala Lumpur
Shoulders, neck, the base of the skull, then the whole scalp. For the tightness that builds over a week at a desk — and the headaches that arrive with it.
- About 45 minutes
- Dry or with oil — your choice
What is the Scalp & Shoulder Release, and who is it for?
The Scalp & Shoulder Release works upward: shoulders and upper back first, then the neck, then the ridge at the base of the skull, and finally the whole scalp in slow sections. You stay fully clothed with the shoulders uncovered, seated or face-down, and it runs about forty-five minutes. It suits desk-and-screen tightness, the ache that starts at the shoulders and ends behind the eyes, and anyone whose scalp feels tight from tied-back hair.
Guests often book it alongside a facial, because it is the one session where nothing at all happens to the face. It is also the session most people describe as the one they did not know they needed — and one where oil is optional, so it can be done without disturbing your hair before an evening out.
IN THE ROOM
What your visit looks like
- 01
Where it hurts, and how you sit
Which shoulder is worse, whether the tightness reaches your head, and how many hours you spend at a screen. We also ask about any neck injury before touching anything.
- Say now if you want oil or prefer to keep your hair dry
- 02
Shoulders and upper back
Fifteen minutes of firm work across the shoulders and between the shoulder blades. This is usually where guests discover exactly how tight they were.
- 03
The neck and the base of the skull
Slow, careful pressure along the ridge where the neck meets the skull. Tender, and for guests who get screen headaches this is usually the part that matters most.
- 04
The scalp, section by section
Fingertips working in small circles from the hairline back, then the crown and behind the ears. Twenty minutes, and most guests stop talking somewhere in the first five.
- With oil if you asked for it — otherwise entirely dry
- 05
Sitting up slowly
A moment to sit before you stand — people often feel lightheaded getting up too quickly from this one. Water, and a comb if you had oil.

BEFORE YOU BOOK
Questions we hear most
Only if you want oil. Say so when you book and the whole scalp section is done dry — you can go straight back to work or out to dinner. With oil is lovely, but plan to wash your hair that evening.
The shoulders can be firm and the base of the skull is often tender — that is where the tightness is. It should stay in the range where you can breathe normally. Say the word and the pressure comes down.
No. You stay clothed with the shoulders uncovered, seated or face-down. A vest top is easiest; if you come in a work shirt we will hand you something to change into.
Guests who get the tight-shoulders-and-screens kind often say they leave much easier. We will not go further than that. Headaches that are new, severe, or different from your usual pattern should be seen by a doctor before you book anything.
Yes, and it is a good pairing — nothing here touches your face. Book them together and tell us which you would rather have first; most guests prefer this one at the end.
Tell us the details before booking and follow whatever your doctor or physiotherapist has advised. In many cases we simply keep away from the area; sometimes the honest answer is to wait, and we will say so.
