Nomad Beauty & Skin Care — Korean Skin Care for Bangsar
Bangsar is well served for places to be seen. This is the other kind of room — quiet, unhurried, and honest about what a single session can and cannot do.
- No upselling, ever
- Never rushed
How do I get to NOMAD from Bangsar?
Bangsar sits on the south-west side and the studio is at 290 Jalan Cheras in Maluri, on the east, so the two are on opposite sides of the city centre. By rail it is one change: the LRT Kelana Jaya Line inbound from Bangsar, then across onto the Ampang Line — Masjid Jamek is the usual interchange — and on to Maluri, where the station opens onto Jalan Cheras itself.
By road the usual line is out through Jalan Maarof and across the city toward Cheras. It is a reasonable drive outside the rush and a long one inside it, so the single most useful thing you can do is pick a slot rather than a route. Late morning, early afternoon, or a weekend before the day fills up — all three turn this into an easy trip.
FROM BANGSAR
Getting to the studio from Bangsar
- 01
Choose the time first
Crossing the city at six is a different proposition from crossing it at eleven. Tell us roughly when suits and we will find the slot rather than have you fight the traffic.
- Weekend mornings are usually the calmest run
- 02
By LRT, with one change
Kelana Jaya Line inbound from Bangsar, change onto the Ampang Line at Masjid Jamek, then on to Maluri. One change, and no need to touch a car at either end.
- 03
Or drive across
Out through Jalan Maarof and east across the city toward Cheras. Set the destination as 290 Jalan Cheras, Maluri rather than the neighbourhood name.
- Message us on WhatsApp and we will send the exact pin
- 04
Parking at this end
Street parking on the roads around the studio, and the mall car parks by the Maluri interchange when the evening is busy. Easier than Telawi on a Saturday, for what it is worth.
- 05
Arriving
Give yourself a few minutes at the start. A session that opens with you still catching your breath from the drive is a worse session, and we would rather you did not spend the first ten minutes of it settling.

What do guests from Bangsar usually book?
Most arrive having already tried a good deal, and the useful conversation is usually about subtraction rather than addition. A common story is skin that has been over-exfoliated by a shelf of strong products used together — acids, a retinoid, a scrub, all in the same week — and what it needs is a barrier-first session and a shorter routine, not another active. We will happily tell you to stop using things, which is not a sales pitch anyone enjoys making but is frequently the right answer.
The other regular pattern is the weekend booking made into a proper break — a facial with massage added, timed so nothing else is scheduled afterwards. Given the distance from your side of town, that is the version we would suggest: come less often, stay longer, and let the home routine carry the weeks in between.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
Questions from guests in Bangsar
Yes, with one change: the Kelana Jaya Line inbound from Bangsar, across to the Ampang Line at Masjid Jamek, then on to Maluri. The station opens onto Jalan Cheras, the road the studio is on.
Bring a photo of everything you are using and we will go through it together. The usual answer is a barrier-first session and a much shorter routine for a few weeks — not a stronger session. If your skin is currently sore or broken, we will ask you to wait, or to see a doctor first.
No. A first visit commits you to nothing, and we will suggest a rhythm and then leave the decision with you. If the honest answer is that you need fewer sessions rather than more, that is what you will hear.
That is genuinely your call, and it depends on what you want. If you are after a quick tidy-up, probably not. If you want a Korean-method session run properly — layered, unhurried, with a therapist who will tell you no — then guests from your side keep making the trip, usually less often and for longer.
Yes, and from Bangsar it is what we would suggest. A facial with massage or a device session added works well as one longer visit — mention it when you book so the room is held, and give yourself an unhurried afternoon around it.
No. There is one NOMAD, at 290 Jalan Cheras in Maluri — one room, one standard, the same two people behind it. If you see the name anywhere else, it is not us.
