Korean Deep Cleanse Facial in Kuala Lumpur
A slow, methodical reset for congested skin. Double cleanse, warm steam, careful manual work and a calming mask — done at the pace your skin can take, never faster.
- About 90 minutes
- Gentle, skin-first formulas
What is the Deep Cleanse Protocol, actually?
The Deep Cleanse Protocol is our longest cleansing session: an oil cleanse to loosen what the day left behind, a water-based cleanse, warm steam to soften the skin, unhurried manual work on congested areas, and a calming mask to finish. It suits skin that feels rough to the touch, looks grey by evening, or carries visible blackheads around the nose and chin — the pattern most common in Kuala Lumpur's humidity, where sunscreen, make-up and city air sit on the skin all day.
It is a care session, not a quick fix. Congestion that built up over months softens over a few visits rather than one, and the point of the ninety minutes is that nothing has to be rushed or forced. It is not the right first session for skin that is currently sore, stinging or flaking — in that case your therapist will suggest the Calming Session or the Barrier Repair Session first, and keep this one for later.
IN THE ROOM
How does the session run, step by step?
- 01
Skin reading, before anything is applied
You sit up, lights on, and your therapist looks at your skin under a lamp and asks what your routine actually is — not what it should be. This is also where we agree which areas will be worked on and which will be left alone.
- Bring your current products or photos of them if that is easy
- 02
Double cleanse
A balm or oil cleanse worked in dry, then a low-foam second cleanse. This is where most of the day comes off. You will feel slow circles at the jaw and hairline.
- 03
Warm steam and softening
Around eight minutes of warm, damp air a hand's width from your face, then a softening layer left to sit. Warm, never hot — tell us straight away if it feels close, and the arm moves back.
- 04
Manual work, only where it is needed
Your therapist works on softened congestion with cotton-wrapped fingers and a loop tool, area by area, and stops when the skin says stop rather than when the list is finished. Nothing that has not softened is forced.
- Briefly sharp on the nose and chin
- Say the word and we pause or skip an area
- 05
Calming mask, sunscreen, and a plan
A cool calming mask for fifteen quiet minutes, a light moisturiser, then sunscreen. You leave with three or four notes for the week ahead, not a shopping list.

BEFORE YOU BOOK
Questions we hear most
Most of the session is warm and slow. The manual step can be briefly sharp on the nose and chin, and it lasts seconds at a time. Tell your therapist and the pressure changes or the area is left alone — nothing is pushed through.
There is no fixed course. Congestion that has built up over months usually looks different after two or three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, and your therapist suggests a rhythm after seeing your skin once, not before.
A little warmth and pinkness for one to two hours is normal, particularly where there was manual work. We finish with a cool calming mask for that reason. If you have somewhere to be, book earlier in the day rather than just before it.
We do not book this one for skin that is currently broken, weeping, sunburnt or reacting, or within a week of a strong peel or a laser appointment elsewhere. If you take an oral retinoid, or your doctor has advised you about your skin, tell us when you book — we will either adapt the session or suggest the Calming Session instead.
Come as you are — the first step is a cleanse either way. If you can, pause strong exfoliating acids and retinoids for two days beforehand and tell us if you have used either recently.
Tell us when you book and your therapist will adapt the session — product choices and the steam step change. Please raise anything your doctor has advised you about, and we will work within it.

Not sure this is the right session to start with?
Send us a photo of your skin in daylight and tell us what it has been doing lately. We will say plainly whether the Deep Cleanse Protocol is the place to begin, or whether a calmer session should come first.
