What we hold about you, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
About this document
This page is a working draft prepared as a starting point for NOMAD's own legal review. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by a qualified adviser. Before the site goes live, the studio should confirm every statement here against what it actually does, complete the contact details, and have the whole policy checked against Malaysian data protection law.
What we collect
Contact details you give us when you enquire or book — your name, telephone number, email address, and anything you choose to write in a message to us.
Consultation notes: what you tell us about your skin, sensitivities and allergies, products you use, anything you have asked us to avoid, and what was done in each session. Some of this is sensitive by nature, and we treat it that way.
Appointment history — when you came, what was booked, and any notes for next time.
Basic website information such as pages visited and general location, collected in aggregate to understand how the site is used. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Why we collect it
To arrange and confirm your appointments, and to reach you if something changes.
To deliver a session safely. Consultation notes exist so that a sensitivity you mentioned once is checked before every visit afterwards, including a visit with a different member of the team.
To keep our own records of what was used on whom, which is part of the standards described on our Hygiene & Standards page.
To send occasional studio news, but only where you have asked for it. We do not add people to a mailing list because they booked once.
Who sees it
Inside the studio, your records are seen by the people who need them to care for you and to manage the schedule.
Outside the studio, information is shared only with the service providers that make the studio run — for example our booking and messaging tools — and only to the extent they need it to provide that service to us. The studio should list its actual providers here before publication.
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep records for as long as you are a guest of the studio, and for a reasonable period afterwards so that a returning guest is not treated as a stranger and so we can answer questions about past visits.
The exact retention period should be set by the studio and stated here, together with any period the law requires for business records.
Your choices
You can ask to see what we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete your records. Write to the studio through the contact page and we will confirm what we have done.
You can stop receiving studio messages at any time, and doing so does not affect your bookings.
If you ask us to delete your consultation notes, we will — but a later visit will then begin from the beginning, and anything you had told us before will need to be told again.
This website, and keeping things safe
This site uses cookies and similar tools to remember your language and to understand in general terms how the site is used. Your browser settings can refuse them; the site still works if you do.
Pages here sometimes embed video hosted elsewhere. Where that happens, the video is loaded only after you press play, and the provider may then receive information from your browser.
We take reasonable steps to protect what we hold, including limiting who inside the studio can see records. No system is perfect; if something ever goes wrong with your information, we will tell you.

Questions about this policy, or a request about your own records, can be sent to the studio through the contact page. The studio should add a named contact and a postal address here before publication.
This policy may be updated from time to time; the version on this page is the current one.

You are entitled to know what we hold. Write to the studio and we will tell you plainly.
