Calming Facial for Reactive Skin in Kuala Lumpur
A quiet session for skin that flushes easily and reacts to almost everything. Cool textures, slow hands, no steam and no extraction — nothing that asks too much of you.
- Fragrance-free options
- About 60 minutes
What is the Calming Session, and who is it for?
The Calming Session is our lowest-stimulus facial: a soft double cleanse at skin temperature, light passes by hand, cool compresses laid between steps, a thin settling mask, and a cushioning finish. There is no steam, no exfoliating acid and no extraction at any point. It is built for skin that warms quickly, colours after a hot walk or a spicy meal, stings when a new product goes on, or has been left tender by too many actives at once.
If your main concern is congestion and blackheads rather than reactivity, the Deep Cleanse Protocol is the better fit. Many guests book this session once to settle the skin, then move on to something more active later.
IN THE ROOM
What your visit looks like
- 01
A short conversation, sitting up
Where the skin warms, what it dislikes, what went on it this week. Bring the product that stung — knowing the exact one changes what we choose.
- Tell us about any recent peels, lasers or prescribed creams
- 02
Cleansing at skin temperature
A soft balm, then a low-foam cleanser, both at skin temperature rather than warm. Water is never hot in this session, and the towels are cool.
- 03
Light passes and cool compresses
Your therapist works in slow, light strokes, pausing to lay a cool compress across the cheeks so heat never has a chance to build. Pressure stays feather-light throughout.
- 04
A thin settling mask, in a dim room
Applied thinly and left for about fifteen minutes with the lights low and the room quiet. Most guests fall asleep somewhere in here, which is entirely the point.
- 05
A cushioning close
One light, cushioning layer and a mineral sunscreen for the walk back out. We sit with you for the last few minutes rather than moving you on.

BEFORE YOU BOOK
Questions we hear most
No. This is the gentlest session we offer — no steam, no acids, no extraction, and pressure that stays feather-light. If anything stings even slightly, say so and your therapist rinses it off straight away.
Usually less than when you arrived. Skin that flushes easily may hold a little colour for under an hour. Nothing in the session is designed to bring heat to the surface, which is the difference between this and a cleansing facial.
Skin that has been over-worked usually feels different after two or three sessions spaced three to four weeks apart, alongside a simpler routine at home. The routine matters more than the sessions, and we will write it down for you.
Yes. Tell us when you book and the whole session is built from fragrance-free products. If you have a known ingredient to avoid, name it and we will check every label with you before we start.
Tell us what your doctor has given you and follow their guidance first. We will adapt the session around it, and if it is better to wait, we will say so rather than proceed.
You can, but skin that reacts easily is happier left bare for the rest of the day. Sunscreen goes on before you leave either way.
